Job Summary

The Head Gym Trainer is responsible to oversee the fitness programs and operations of the gym, ensuring the delivery of high-quality training services to clients. Develop and implement comprehensive fitness programs tailored to the needs and goals of gym members, ensuring diversity and inclusivity.


Lead and supervise a team of gym trainers, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure the delivery of high-quality training services.


Conduct regular assessments of gym trainers' skills and competencies, identifying training needs and opportunities for professional development.


Oversee the scheduling and coordination of fitness classes, personal training sessions, and other gym activities to optimize utilization of facilities and resources.


Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations during training sessions, including proper equipment usage and sanitation practices.


Act as a point of contact for gym members, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.


Collaborate with the management team to develop marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to attract new members and retain existing ones.


Monitor gym performance metrics, such as membership growth, retention rates, and revenue, and implement strategies to achieve targets and goals.


Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in fitness training, incorporating innovative approaches into gym programs and services.


Foster a positive and motivating gym culture, promoting teamwork, camaraderie, and a commitment to health and fitness among staff and members.

Job Knowledge & Skills

In-depth understanding of exercise physiology, anatomy, and biomechanics to design safe and effective workout programs tailored to individual client needs.


Proficiency in a variety of fitness training techniques and equipment, including cardio exercises, strength training, and flexibility exercises.


Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients, understand their fitness goals, and provide motivation and support throughout their fitness journey.


Knowledge of nutrition principles and dietary guidelines to offer basic nutrition advice and support clients in making healthy lifestyle choices.


Ability to adapt and modify exercise programs based on client feedback, progress, and any physical limitations or injuries, ensuring continuous improvement and client satisfaction.


ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
