Job Summary

The Head Bartender is responsible to manage the bar operations within a hospitality establishment, ensuring exceptional service, high-quality beverages, and a memorable guest experience. They are responsible for leading a team of bartenders, setting standards for drink preparation and presentation, and maintaining a well-stocked bar inventory. Additionally, Head Bartenders develop and curate cocktail menus, create signature drinks, and train staff on mixology techniques and product knowledge. They also ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, monitor bar sales and expenses, and contribute to marketing and promotional activities. Supervise and train bar staff, providing guidance on drink preparation techniques, customer service standards, and bar operations procedures.


Create and maintain a welcoming and efficient bar environment, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety regulations.


Develop and update cocktail menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients, trends, and customer preferences to enhance the beverage offerings and drive sales.


Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stocking of bar supplies, tracking usage, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.


Monitor bar sales and performance metrics, such as sales trends and customer feedback, to identify opportunities for improvement and revenue growth.


Engage with guests, building rapport, recommending drinks, and ensuring a positive and memorable experience that encourages repeat business.


Collaborate with the management team to develop marketing and promotional strategies, including themed events, happy hours, and specialty drink promotions.


Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and pricing to secure favorable terms and ensure product availability.


Handle cash handling and reconciliation duties, including opening and closing procedures, till management, and accurate reporting of sales transactions.


Stay updated on industry trends, mixology techniques, and beverage innovations, continuously refining skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service and stay competitive in the market.
