Job description

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for executing, supervising, and supporting electrical maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities across Oil & Gas facilities. The role ensures the reliability, safety, and availability of electrical systems, equipment, and distribution networks while maintaining compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and HSE requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Carry out testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HV, MV, and LV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, PCCs, and distribution boards.
  • Perform maintenance and testing of AC/DC motors, generators, UPS systems, battery banks, and associated electrical equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Supervise electrical installation, modification, and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams during shutdowns, turnarounds, and project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with PTW, LOTO, electrical safety standards, and company HSE procedures.
  • Prepare maintenance reports, testing records, and technical documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

RequirementsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Hands-on experience with electrical testing, motors, switchgear, transformers, control circuits, MCCs, PCCs, UPS systems, and electrical distribution systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
Ability to interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, and technical specifications.
Familiarity with PTW, LOTO, and HSE requirements within Oil & Gas facilities.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in shutdown and turnaround activities is preferred.
