Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Draftsman - Mechanical for a reputed company in Qatar.

• Prepare detailed mechanical fabrication and piping drawings as per project requirements.

  
  
  

• Develop GA (General Arrangement), shop fabrication, assembly, and isometric drawings.

  
  
  

• Prepare detailed drawings for:

  
  
  

  • Steel Structures

    
    
    

  • Piping Systems

    
    
    

  • Storage Tanks

    
    
    

  • Structural Fabrication

    
    
    

• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and client standards.

  
  
  

• Coordinate with engineers, fabrication teams, and project departments for drawing revisions and updates.

  
  
  

• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

  
  
  

• Prepare material take-offs (MTO) and bill of materials when required.

  
  
  

• Modify and update drawings based on site conditions and client comments.

  
  
  

• Maintain drawing records and revision control systems.

  
  
  
  

Candidates must have hands-on experience in:

• Steel fabrication drafting

  
  
  

• Piping detailing

  
  
  

• Tank detailing

  
  
  

• Structural detailing

  
  
  
  

• Tekla

  
  
  

• STR

  
  
  

• Tank detailing software

  
  
  

• Piping drafting software

  
  
  

• AutoCAD (preferred)

  
  
  
  

• Experience in industrial fabrication projects, oil & gas, or heavy engineering industries.

  
  
  

• Good understanding of fabrication standards and piping layouts.

  
  
  

• Ability to work independently under project deadlines.

  
  
  

• Gulf experience will be an added advantage.
