Location: Doha - Ras laffan Qatar
Contract Type: Long-Term Contract
Work Schedule: 100% Onshore
Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF
Working Days: 6 Days per Week
Hours: 8–10 Hours per Day
Project Scale: 20,000+ Workforce at Peak Execution
Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead and oversee commissioning activities for a world-scale LNG/Oil & Gas project in Qatar. The successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution of commissioning, systems completion, handover, and startup readiness activities while maintaining compliance with project requirements, safety standards, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead and promote a strong safety culture across project teams, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
✅ Direct and oversee EPC Contractor commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with project procedures, specifications, and standards.
✅ Review and approve commissioning plans, deliverables, procedures, and datasets.
✅ Manage commissioning interfaces between EPC Contractor, PMT, Operations, Startup, and Handover teams.
✅ Ensure effective execution of commissioning strategies, advanced work packaging, systems completion, and handover activities.
✅ Allocate and manage commissioning resources across multiple project delivery teams.
✅ Chair commissioning meetings and drive resolution of technical and execution challenges.
✅ Support Brownfield activities, SIMOPS planning, and risk mitigation strategies.
✅ Monitor contractor performance against safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.
✅ Ensure successful plant handover and readiness for startup operations.
Required Qualifications
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences
✔ Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects covering Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, and Startup
✔ Minimum 5 years in a Commissioning Leadership/Managerial role
✔ Proven experience managing large-scale commissioning activities for LNG, Gas Processing, Refinery, Petrochemical, or Offshore/Onshore facilities Essential Skills & Experience
