About the job CIVIL AUTOCAD DRAUGHTSMAN
  1. Nature of Work:

The hired personnel should be capable of producing high quality Civil & steel structural drawings in AutoCAD following Company Standard, Specifications and instructions from Company Engineers. He should be capable of producing drawings as per site requirements or idea given by Engineers.


  • General arrangement drawing to be made in AutoCAD.
  • To upgrade/produce engineering drawings and reports as per the specific trade efficiently and according to Company procedures, instructions and specifications and as advised by Company engineers.
  • Prepare/modify drawings on AUTOCAD by referring to the existing drawings, taking instructions from the engineer or by taking site measurements.
  • Update or prepare underground services drawings in different layers of services.
  • Assist coordinators / members in maintaining Project files, common files, catalogues etc. whenever required in preparation of Project binders at various stages of projects including close-outs.
  • Assist if required during site execution jobs.
  • To register, upload, search and retrieve drawings from Company Technical Document Management system (QTDMS) as well as from hard copy drawing archive.
  • Work with SAP after in house training.
  • Create work orders, work permits, issuance of warehouse materials, reservations and pick slips.
  • Obtain unit nos. for new equipment and assign document IDs for various drawings/documents.
  • To assist for preparation Heavy load on ground form by retrieving the appropriate drawings/documents from the system.
  • Retrieve underground services drawings for excavation approval forms and provide markups.
  • To familiarize and comply with all Company Management system procedures related to Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Energy and product stewardship.

To produce and update Civil / Structural engineering drawings such as but not limited to,


  • Document list
  • General Arrangement drawings.
  • Site Layouts.
  • Prepare Bill of materials.
  • Prepare multiple layer drawings.
  • Prepare 3D architectural drawings.
  1. Required Qualification and Experience
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering with Proficient drafting ability.
  • Minimum 5 years project experience, preferably in fertilizer/petrochemical plants in drafting activities.
  • Computer literate: well, acquainted with office programs as MS word, Excel etc. and very well versed in using AutoCAD, Micro Station and electronic documentation procedures.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • High awareness and knowledge on safety procedures in live plant
