Could you be the full-time Linux System Engineer in Katowice we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside passionate, motivated, and dedicated teammates.
You'll contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimization of our infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across our platforms. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, IT, and operations), enhance system reliability, and develop automation processes, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of managing and configuring Debian Linux and FreeBSD servers, but also developing and maintaining automation scripts.
We’ll look to you for:
Managing, configuring, and optimizing Debian Linux and FreeBSD servers
Developing and maintaining automation scripts and system utilities using scripting languages such as Bash and Python
Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventive measures
Supporting deployment, upgrades, and lifecycle management of system services
Collaborating with engineering teams to enhance infrastructure reliability and efficiency
Maintaining documentation for configurations, procedures, and system changes

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven hands-on experience administering Debian Linux distributions and FreeBSD environments
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and process optimization
Solid understanding of networking concepts, system security, and performance tuning
Experience with system monitoring tools and log analysis
Familiarity with configuration management or automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins) – nice to have
Experience with virtualization or containerization technologies – nice to have
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) – nice to have
