About the Role



We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and optimizing both relational database environments. You will play a key part in ensuring data availability, performance, and security, as well as supporting database migrations and high-availability environments.


This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, optimizing systems, and contributing to strategic infrastructure initiatives.


We are using Commvault tool, Rubrik, DPM monitoring and DBA tools


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the full database lifecycle - creation, configuration, maintenance, backup, and recovery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SQL Server performance issues, replication delays, and failover events.
  • Provide user and application support for database-related requirements.
  • Ensure data security, access control, and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain database integrity, standards, and high availability environments.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, internal stakeholders to deliver robust database solutions.

Required Skills and Experience


  • Proven hands-on experience with SQL Server (2016 or newer) administration and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery (HADR) solutions such as:
    • Always On Availability Groups
    • Log Shipping
    • Replication
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for performance, latency, and failover issues.
  • Expertise in backup/restore strategies, monitoring, and operational best practices.
  • Solid understanding of database security management.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, tracing, and auditing mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and T-SQL scripting.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server environments.

Nice to Have


  • Interest or experience in Cloud and DevOps infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools.
  • Experience with Azure SQL and related cloud database technologies.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of DBATools or similar administrative frameworks.
