To assist pharmacists by performing all clerical duties necessary to ensure that a pharmacy is running efficiently. They answer telephone calls, manage the cash register, and restock shelves with medication and other pharmaceutical supplies.
Dispenses prescription medication and other medical products to patients under direction of licensed pharmacist
Monitors prescription-filling process to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and pharmacy policies
Liaises with healthcare providers and patients to obtain correct prescription information
Taking inventory of all medication and pharmaceutical supplies.
Prepare insurance claim forms
Receive, load and unload incoming goods from manufacturers, wholesalers and elsewhere
Notify the pharmacist when stock is low
Directing all questions relating to prescriptions, health matters, or medications to the pharmacist.
Answering all incoming telephone calls in a professional manner.
Restocking shelves with medications and other pharmaceutical supplies.
Accurately typing and printing out prescription labels.
Places orders for additional drugs as directed by the pharmacist
Completes patients' sales transactions for purchase of prescription and over-the-counter medications as well as other pharmaceutical products
Attending to emails and calls.
Pre-pack, assemble and label medicines
Ensuring that work areas are organized and clean.
Any other task as assigned by management on a time to time basis as per the organization's needs.
• Strong ability to meet production and quality standard as specified by supervisor, manager or pharmacistStrong ability to correctly read and interpret prescription terminology and medicationsAbility to pay attention to detail and communicate effectively with customers on the telephoneStrong keyboarding skills required for performing fast and correct data entry tasksManual dexterity, PC, and basic math skillsStrong knowledge of widely used generic drugs and their route of administration, as well as the ability to understand and interpret Latin signs and symbols usually found on drug labels.Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectivelyAudit and Inspection principles
• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Minimum 2 years of Experience with certificate.
