About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Video Editor to create polished, engaging, and high-performing video content for marketing, training, and communications. This role involves managing the editing workflow from raw footage through final delivery, ensuring all projects are on-brand, technically precise, and optimized for the target platforms (web, social, events, or broadcast). The Video Editor combines storytelling creativity with technical editing expertise to deliver content that drives results.

Responsibilities:

  • Footage Management:
    • Import, organize, and catalog raw footage from multiple sources.
    • Maintain orderly project files and version control for easy retrieval.
  • Editing & Assembly:
    • Edit raw footage into coherent, compelling narratives using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
    • Sync audio and video, refine pacing, and ensure smooth transitions.
    • Apply cuts and sequences that align with brand tone and campaign objectives.
  • Graphics & Effects:
    • Add titles, lower thirds, motion graphics, and animations (Adobe After Effects, Motion, or Canva).
    • Incorporate logos, callouts, and brand visuals consistently.
  • Audio & Color Correction:
    • Mix and master audio (dialogue clarity, noise reduction, levels).
    • Add background music and sound effects in line with licensing requirements.
    • Perform color correction and grading to achieve consistent look and feel.
  • Multi-Platform Versioning:
    • Export deliverables in multiple aspect ratios and formats for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and website embeds.
    • Optimize file sizes, codecs, and compression for quality and performance.
  • Collaboration & Feedback:
    • Work with creative directors, marketing teams, and stakeholders to align edits with campaign goals.
    • Manage review cycles using Frame.io or similar feedback platforms.
  • Performance Monitoring & Archiving:
    • Monitor video analytics to inform future edits.
    • Archive projects in cloud storage with metadata for reuse and compliance.

What Makes You a Perfect Fit:

  • Creative eye paired with technical precision.
  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable editing across styles: short-form social, corporate explainers, long-form training.
  • Collaborative and open to feedback cycles.

Required Experience & Skills (Minimum):

  • 2+ years professional video editing experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong knowledge of audio syncing, noise reduction, and color correction.
  • Familiarity with exporting for social and web platforms.

Ideal Experience & Skills:

  • Motion graphics and animation in Adobe After Effects.
  • Experience editing videos for paid campaigns or brand storytelling.
  • Understanding of marketing KPIs (CTR, engagement, view duration).
  • Industry exposure in SaaS, agencies, e-commerce, or media.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?

A Video Editor’s day is focused on transforming raw footage into finished, impactful content. You will:

  • Organize and prep footage so editing workflows are clean and efficient.
  • Edit and assemble videos, refining pacing, storytelling, and transitions.
  • Add graphics, music, and sound, ensuring alignment with brand and licensing standards.
  • Perform color correction for consistency across deliverables.
  • Export multiple versions optimized for different platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, managing review rounds and incorporating feedback.
