Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

• receive and correctly identify for surgical procedures
• check patients scheduled for surgery in the Operating Room and ensure proper take over of patients’ files
• complete all per-operative documentation pertaining to patient’s surgery
• ensure that all specimens are removed during surgery, correctly labeled and dispatched for necessary investigation as advised by the surgeon
• scrub for designated cases while displaying competence for different areas as per the scope of services of the hospital
• assists in the safe transportation of patients before and after surgery
• timely report of any problem with equipment to the concerned for rectification
• assist in preoperative patient preparation and coordinate with the scheduler in the smooth running of the OR list.

Requirements:

You should have:

• a Matriculation with pre-medical background and Intermediate in any discipline
• completed Diploma in OT Technician from a reputable institution
• preferably one year of relevant  experience
• good understanding of basic anatomy / physiology and OR terminologies, and ability to identify surgical instruments
• good understanding of sterilization and disinfection procedures
• good communication skills and ability to handle work pressure
• willingness to work in shift duties and at different locations
