Purpose


To lead the development and implementation of sourcing governance frameworks and data-driven spend analytics strategies that enhance procurement compliance, cost optimization, and operational efficiency. This role is critical to driving strategic sourcing performance and ensuring transparency and accountability across global procurement activities, particularly for large-scale mining or infrastructure projects.


Key Duties & Responsibilities


  • Design and implement standardized sourcing workflows, policies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Consolidate and analyze lead spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure spend transparency.
  • Create and maintain sourcing dashboards in SAP Ariba and Power BI to provide executive and operational visibility.
  • Conduct regular sourcing and compliance audits to evaluate supplier performance and contract adherence.
  • Align sourcing activities with project timelines, corporate objectives, and legal/regulatory requirements. 
  • Develop supplier segmentation and rationalization strategies based on category spend and risk profiles.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure integration of the system and contract governance.
  • Lead the digital transformation of sourcing processes through ERP platforms (SAP S4HANA, Ariba).
  • Provide training and mentoring to sourcing teams on process compliance and data interpretation.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives, including category reviews and benchmarking.

Qualifications and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent preferred.
  • 8-11 years of experience in sourcing process management and spend analytics, ideally in mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure.
  • Strong background in procurement systems (SAP S4HANA, Ariba), data analysis (Power BI), and compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional sourcing improvement initiatives.

  • Deep expertise in sourcing compliance and strategic procurement.
  • Advanced analytical skills and strong command of reporting tools (Excel, Power BI).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proficient in SAP S4HANA, Ariba Spend Analysis, and data visualization platforms.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret procurement data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with a solutions-driven approach.
