Senior Software Engineer (React Native, Node.js)

JOB TITLE: Full Stack Developer (Node.js & React Native)

PURPOSE:
To design, develop, and maintain end-to-end functionality of a community-based mobile application, covering both backend services and frontend mobile interfaces. The role focuses on building scalable APIs, seamless user experiences, and ensuring overall system performance, reliability, and usability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js to support mobile application features
• Build and manage backend services, including business logic, user management, and block assignment workflows
• Develop and maintain mobile application interfaces using React Native
• Implement end-to-end user journeys including onboarding flows such as signup, OTP verification, and profile setup
• Develop core application features such as feeds, messaging, and event modules
• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs and third-party services (e.g., OTP/SMS providers)
• Design and manage database schemas and interactions, primarily using PostgreSQL
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security across both frontend and backend layers
• Handle state management, navigation, and responsiveness across mobile devices
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including QA, design, and product
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• 4 to 6+ years of experience in full stack development or combined frontend and backend roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and React Native
• Proficiency in JavaScript and asynchronous programming
• Solid experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
• Good understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Familiarity with mobile UI/UX best practices and responsive design
• Experience with API integrations and third-party services
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

Nice to Have:

• Experience with real-time technologies such as WebSockets
• Familiarity with scalable system architecture and performance optimization
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with push notifications and mobile app deployments (App Store / Play Store)
