Senior Java Developer

Job Overview:

You'll lead the design and development of robust, scalable backend systems as a Senior Java Developer. Your role is critical in driving technical excellence, defining best practices, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor junior developers while building secure and high-performance applications using Java and modern frameworks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Architect and implement high-performance, secure RESTful APIs for enterprise-grade applications.
• Lead system design discussions, contributing to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy.
• Collaborate with frontend teams (React/Angular) to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Conduct and lead code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and improving overall code quality.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure system reliability.
• Design and manage database schemas, queries, and transactions across SQL and NoSQL systems.
• Implement and enforce application security standards, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and external systems efficiently.
• Drive adoption of modern development practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and automation.
• Mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and fostering skill development.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the tech stack.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–6+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong expertise in Java (Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming principles).
• Extensive hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Proficiency with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.
• Strong experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
• Experience with Spring Security and secure coding practices.
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to modern frameworks like Quarkus is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in collaborative environments.
