We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Associate Director, Data and Analytics
In this role, you will:
Lead the technical design and build of IT systems, adding AI features aligned to business value.
Set the technical standards and best practices for engineering teams.
Guide and mentor other engineers, helping to build a strong technical culture.
Solve complex technical problems that affect multiple systems.
Work closely with senior management to ensure technology choices support business goals.
Review system designs to ensure they are secure, reliable, and scale.
Research and introduce new capabilities that improve our services and efficiency.
Ensure all technical work and AI tools follow Group Chief Information Office (GCIO) standards and banking regulations.
To be successful, you will:
Extensive experience working as a senior, lead, or principal software engineer, with experience building AI systems
A strong background in building large-scale, secure systems, ideally within the financial sector.
Deep knowledge of modern software development, cloud computing, and system design.
Proven ability to lead technical projects and guide engineering teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills to handle complex, system-wide challenges.
Clear communication skills to explain technical and AI concepts to both technical and non-technical staff.
Experience working in a highly regulated environment with strict security rules.
A hands-on approach, remaining comfortable reviewing code, testing AI tools and leading by example.
