General Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced engineering lead to join India Compute SW organization as a Software Project Engineer (SW PE). This critical role has the responsibility for planning and execution through all phases of the project from concept to commercialization across all engineering teams. The candidate is expected to work closely with other cross-functional leads of the product and drive resolution of all engineering issues across subsystems. Strong analytical abilities, quick comprehension skills, excellent collaboration and effective communication skills are key to succeed in this role. Ideal candidate would demonstrate great levels of curiosity, learnability and ownership.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Own Software execution, and communication across technology teams, including technical communication with customers and counterparts.
• Discuss Architecture, design, and development strategy as the technology owner, collaborating with Product Management for Software Features.
• Demonstrate strong ownership and enable teams navigate the solution engineering for complex system issues by working closely with chipset and SW leads.
• Represent the SW engineering in executive reviews across the stages of product lifecycle from PC to Commercialization.
• Drive industry best practices for software engineering for Stability, Compliance, WHCP.
• Ensure the SW Product meets the expected Functionality, Power, Performance within schedule.
• Drive and mandate quality goals in conjunction with the Program Manager.
• Identify key risks to the program and mitigate them.
• Contribute to lessons learned and project retrospectives from the technical perspective.
• Ensure learning from prior programs is incorporated to improve program execution.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's / master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 15+ years of Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or related experience in embedded systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in driving engineering execution for complex features spanning across several modules preferably collaborating with leads across product management, customer, chipset functions.

• Good understanding of Chipset / System architecture.
• Prior experience in SW Project Engineering or Tech-Component Project Engineering (Tech PE).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 4+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
