Job description

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Oracle EBS Functional Specialist with specialist knowledge in the HCM modules. You will also have business process expertise and the ability to deliver application changes and delivery of new functionality to meet business requirements. You will also have the ability to work on project based workload and report back to Senior Manager Oracle ERP HR & Payroll




The role will be part of an existing support and delivery team based in Bradford and Reading.  The ideal candidate will have extensive proven experience specifically within at least 4 of the following modules




  • HCM – Core HR, Absence, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Time and Labor, Recruitment, Talent, Learning Management

You will be involved in an exciting programme of change with the objective of on-boarding new entities to Oracle Fusion. You will also take the lead on small works deliverables, provide 2nd line support for global Oracle Fusion and Oracle EBS 12.2, as well as peripheral systems.  You must be experienced in conforming to Service Level and Support Agreements, Audit, Security and Compliance standards, and maximising customer satisfaction



  • Contribute to the design and implementation of Oracle EBS Implementation Projects in Multi-Org, Multi-Currency Instances, on Oracle Fusion
  • Contribute to HCM functional design specifications and complete testing cycles
  • Contribute to  solution design and functional specification documentation
  • Take ownership of 2nd line support incidents (as required) across Oracle Fusion and EBS HCM modules, including SR management
  • Applies best practice support methodology, technical and business-process expertise, and customer service skills to resolve them, within SLA and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. 
  • Impact assess change requests and provide estimates for new requirements
  • Evaluate current business processes and recommend improvements if needed
  • Ability to work within a fast paced and busy workload
  • Share Oracle knowledge within the team, supporting colleagues as needed
  • 5 years plus proven experience working on Oracle HCM, Absence, Oracle Payroll, Advanced Benefits, Time and Labor, in Oracle EBS ideally within a Support/Delivery team
  • 2 years plus proven experience working on Oracle HCM, Absence, Oracle Payroll, Benefits, Time and Labor, in Oracle Fusion ideally within a Support/Delivery team
  • 2 years plus proven experience in contributing to the design and implementation of Oracle EBS Implementation Projects in Multi-Org, Multi-Currency Instances, Oracle EBS HCM configuration changes, HCM functional design specifications and testing cycles
  • Strong UK legislative knowledge for Payroll, including RTI, Shared Parental Leave, Pension Auto Enrolment
  • Strong IE legislative knowledge for Payroll, including BIK, Social Benefit, SEPA, EHECS
  • Experience across a wide range of Oracle EBS R12 Applications and technologies including: knowledge of Oracle schemas and public APIs, an good understanding of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, and reporting tools (e.g. OBIEE, HR Analytics, Business Objects)
  • An understanding of Oracle AIM methodology
  • Experience working on Agile and/or Waterfall based projects
  • Strong problem analysis skills with the ability to think creatively about possible problem solutions.  Determines when to escalate issues to vendors and changes which will improve quality of support service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, recognizing benefits of working within a busy team environment.
