Position Summary


Drawing on a background in civil, structural, chemical/plant engineering, drafting or related construction engineering. The role will be analyzing large volumes of visual data from offshore infrastructure to identify and annotate mechanical, structural and hydraulic features in this data for the purposes of condition assessment and asset integrity management.  Also undertake condition assessment of various inshore and offshore structures using visual and other data, based on established client or industry codes/frameworks. Basic quality assurance tasks are integral part of the role.


Key responsibilities


  • Analyze large volumes of visual and other  data from onshore and offshore infrastructure to identify and annotate faults and defects as well as mechanical, structural, and hydraulic features.
  • Implement different client and industry condition assessment and asset integrity standards.
  • Create photogrammetric 3D models and undertake metrology analysis on these for precise measurement on parts and equipment.
  • Undertake basic quality assurance tasks on your work and that of others
  • Preparing engineering (inspection/condition assessment) reports.

  • Technical report writing
  • Understanding of Data Analytics
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets and G-Suite
  • Maintaining exceptional quality and work performance 
  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated ability to quickly pick up the use of new software
  • Familiarity with the use of Autodesk Navisworks and/or AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with the use of Autodesk Recap and working with point cloud data
  • Exposure to Linux operating system
  • Experience in manual data annotation
  • Experience in working with or as part of remote teams
  • Experience in analyzing large volumes of data and drawing engineering conclusions from this
  • Familiarity with API, NACE, ASCE, and ASME inspection and coating standards

Qualification


  • Bachelor’s level qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics, Material, Industrial, Petroleum or Civil engineering.
  • Candidates holding degrees from accredited international institutions are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in a relevant Master’s program
  • 1-3 years of industry experience. Preferably in a relevant industry.
  • API Certifications are preferred (API-570, 571, 510, 580 etc)
