Responsibilities Perform inspections to assess the quality and integrity of mechanical equipment across various projects.
Facilitate the monitoring, inspection, and documentation of mechanical assets.
Verify the cleanliness and fit-up of weld joints prior to welding.
Oversee welding processes and assess electrode conditions, including necessary preheating.
Conduct visual examinations of completed welds for surface defects.
Coordinate required NDT (RT/PT/MT/HT/PMI) for finished welds.
Monitor and assess the PWHT setup and its outcomes.
Maintain thorough QC documentation including weld maps and tracking sheets.
Prepare daily reports for the Inspection Coordinator regarding project progress.
Address and resolve any quality and safety-related issues promptly.
Ensure compliance with mandatory Engineering documents based on company standards.
Collaborate with Inspection representatives for support during inspection activities.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector in the Oil & Energy industry.
Proven experience in the Oil and Gas sector.
Mandatory certifications: API 510 , API 570 , and AWS-CWI and/or CSWIP-3.
1 (all certifications must be currently valid).
Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including API, ASME, and ISO.
Demonstrated experience in performing inspections and testing mechanical systems and equipment.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics accurately.
Exceptional attention to detail and capability to document non-conformances effectively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
