As a Software Engineering Manager (VP) at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking organization’s Acquisition Enablement Platform, you will join an agile team that designs, builds, and delivers secure, stable, and scalable software for the firm’s state‑of‑the‑art products. In this role, you will implementhigh standards and Innovation, software platforms and migration, and AI based solution generations with faster productivity with empowerment with multiple technologies and applications, deep problem solving.


Job responsibilities


  • Hands on ownership of engineering deliverables, estimates, on-time completion of platform capabilities leveraging AI and Test supported newer methodologies. Less team more impact is the way of thinking. 
  • Thought leadership, directional thinking and developing solutions as platformized multi tenant components, both on dev and test side., with security baked in.
  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience . In addition, 2 + years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise


  • Strong experience in Java, platform engineering, AWS, systems & solutions design,  SQL/NoSQL database design, migrations. Thought leadership in engineering and engineering operations excellence in SRE & Observability, hands on coding, high level design, and Low-level design reviews, code reviews, test case reviews messaging systems expertise, live application/data migrations, high scale, and production support from product and platform organizations. Migration of services, APIs, systems, databases in live production. Data and metrics based results and outcomes.
  • Platform engineering experience with production support of microservices focused on key performance metrics, Self-Service feature creation, Observability, and SRE experience. Secure Development life cycle, complete service ownership in DevOps model. CI/CD tooling, Static and Dynamic Code review tools usage such as SonarQube, CheckMarx. Java 17+ Spring, Spring boot, Spring Cloud microservices. Kafka, Rest APIs, Splunk, Dynatrace, strong SQL, NoSQL Database such as Cassandra, React based front end UI development.
  • AI, Generative AI usage proficiency. Automated generation of full stack/backend java code/APIs, designs, code, database, test cases, and assembling solutions in real time shortening the SDLC to significantly lesser timelines and lesser man power, using prompt engineering with LLM tools such as Gemini, Claude, CoPilot and assembling solution to result in production grade services/APIs using coding and performance best practices.
  • Program Management, PMP preferred, Estimations, Roadmap Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Controlling, leadership skills, Agility and Adaptability skills.
  • Leading 15-25 member teams, People management, owning estimations & timelines, stakeholder management
  • QA/Test automation writing automated unit tests, functional tests, and end‑to‑end test automation various testing tools and frameworks such as PlayWright, Selenium, java and RPA tools. Metrics based product feature delivery for functional and non-functional requirements.
