In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.





Your role and responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Specialist for the AWS Platform, you will manage and implement AWS-based infrastructure solutions according to established designs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. You will collaborate with IT teams to implement and integrate AWS infrastructure solutions based on existing designs. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Set up and Configure AWS Resources: Set up, configure, and manage AWS EC2 instances, storage solutions, networking, and databases to effectively support business applications. This includes implementing and overseeing essential AWS resources such as Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Elastic Load Balancers (ELBs), and Application Load Balancers (ALBs). * Monitor and Troubleshoot AWS Infrastructure: Continuously monitor AWS infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations to ensure reliable performance. * Apply Security Measures: Apply and enforce security measures to ensure AWS infrastructure complies with organizational policies and industry regulations. * Optimize AWS Costs: Optimize AWS costs by right-sizing resources, developing cost-effective solutions, and monitoring usage patterns. * Automate Processes: Use automation tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible to automate and streamline processes.

* Experience with AWS Services: Deep proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), along with expertise in Linux and VMware environments. * Exposure to DevOps Practices: Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), and proficiency in using automation tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible. * Cloud Migration Expertise: Experience with cloud migration projects, including implementation and execution, and proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters through Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). * Security Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with applying and enforcing security measures to ensure AWS infrastructure complies with organizational policies and industry regulations. * Cost Optimization Skills: Experience with optimizing AWS costs by right-sizing resources, developing cost-effective solutions, and monitoring usage patterns.

* Cloud Migration Project Management: Experience with cloud migration projects, including implementation and execution, with proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters through Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). * Advanced Automation Skills: Proficiency in using automation tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible to automate and streamline processes. * Linux and VMware Expertise: Expertise in Linux and VMware environments, with the ability to apply this knowledge to AWS-based infrastructure solutions.
