HIH - Infrastructure Engineering Lead Analyst - Basis

Position Overview
The Senior SAP Basis Engineer is responsible for the reliability, security, and operational excellence of CSD’s SAP landscape. This role supports SAP S/4HANA and EWM platforms hosted in SAP HEC on Azure, along with SAP BTP and BDC, integration tooling, monitoring, and governance frameworks.

Job Overview:

The SAP Basis Engineer is also responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, security, and availability of the enterprise SAP landscape. This role drives best practices, and acts as the point for critical SAP technical issues.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day SAP Basis administration and production support for SAP S/4HANA and EWM systems
• Execute incident, problem, and change management aligned with ServiceNow processes
• Perform system refreshes, client opens/closes, job and spool administration, printer configuration, and interface troubleshooting
• Lead and execute kernel upgrades, patching, parameter changes, and SAP Notes implementation
• Operate and enhance monitoring using SAP Solution Manager and SAP Cloud ALM
• Support SAP ChaRM transport management and release execution with audit traceability
• Ensure SOX and security compliance including audit logging, certificates, SSO, and RFC security
• Support SAP BTP, BDC, Integration Suite, Cloud Connector, CPI DS / SDI agents
• Coordinate with SAP RISE / ECS / HEC support teams for outages and service requests
• Participate in on-call rotations and P1/P2 incident response
• Lead and manage the SAP Basis team, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and operational governance across development, quality, and production environments.
• Own SAP system installation, upgrades, patching, kernel updates, and landscape architecture, ensuring alignment with SAP and organizational standards.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Any bachelor’s degree

Required Qualifications

• 11-13 years of SAP Basis experience supporting SAP NetWeaver and S/4HANA
• Strong experience with SAP transports, change management, and release governance
• Hands-on experience with SAP security, certificates, and audit controls
• Proven troubleshooting skills across SAP application, OS, and integration layers
• Experience working in regulated or SOX-controlled environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting SAP HEC / RISE / ECS managed environments
• Exposure to SAP BTP and cloud-native integration patterns
• Experience aligning SAP delivery with Agile or Jira-based operating models
• Healthcare, pharmacy, or enterprise-scale SAP landscape experience
