Job description

HRSI is looking for Finance Staff for one of its leading client in Pakistan.

  1. Handling of petty cash along with daily reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of transaction. This process includes verification of invoices and supporting documents and ensuring that all expenses are charged to the correct General Ledger (GL) accounts.
  2. On a daily basis, the role involves a thorough review of vendor invoices to ensure completeness and accuracy of all required information. This includes verification of vendor and company NTN details, registered addresses, and confirmation of tax compliance such as correct tax rates, vendor registration status, and applicable withholding requirements. The review also covers supporting documents including purchase orders, comparative statements, DCMRs, purchase requisitions, and service completion certificates, where applicable. Income tax and sales tax calculations are carefully checked to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and vendor bank details are verified to avoid errors or fraudulent payments.
  3. The incumbent is also responsible for vendor intimations and maintaining proper records of all such communications on a daily basis. In addition, ASAD-related intimations received from Head Office are communicated to the site team in a timely manner. Employee-related financial intimations for site personnel—such as medical claims, CAT deductions, reimbursements, and other related matters—are processed and documented daily to ensure accurate record-keeping and timely resolution.
  4. Another key daily responsibility includes reviewing inventory issuance vouchers and reconciling them with SAP records to ensure that physical inventory movement is accurately reflected in the system. This helps maintain control over stock usage and prevents discrepancies between physical and system records.
  5. On a monthly basis, the Staff Finance function involves verification and reconciliation of advances paid to M/s Imtiaz and advances paid through MRF. This includes reviewing supporting documentation, confirming utilization, and ensuring that balances are correctly reflected in the accounts. Monthly review of vehicle top-ups and general petty cash expenses is also conducted. This process includes verification of invoices and supporting documents and ensuring that all expenses are charged to the correct General Ledger (GL) accounts.
  6. Monthly bank reconciliations of MRF and ASDA bank accounts are performed to ensure that bank balances match accounting records and that any reconciling items are identified and resolved promptly. The role also requires participation in bidding processes as and when required, including verification of vendor NTN for income and sales tax, Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status, and bank account maintenance certificates. Comparative statements for vendor selection and scrap sales are reviewed to ensure transparency and competitiveness.
  7. As required, the Staff Finance officer reviews gate passes and maintains in-and-out registers to ensure proper control over material movement at the site. Physical verification of fixed assets is carried out on a monthly basis, with reconciliation against accounting records to confirm existence, condition, and accuracy of asset registers.
  1. Additionally, quarterly physical verification of stores, spares, scrap, and salvage items is conducted to ensure proper inventory control and accurate reporting. Any discrepancies identified during these verifications are investigated, documented, and reported for corrective action
