The preferred candidate should have experience in RAN Planning, design and dimensioning across multi-vendor RAN environments (e.
g., Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson and Nokia).
The role requires hands-on expertise in radio network planning and optimization tools (e.
g., Atoll, Planet, Asset), along with solid understanding of LTE and 5G NR technologies, including coverage and capacity planning, link budget analysis and interference management.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The selected candidate will work as part of a team of seven peers, reporting to the Manager RAN Planning at Jazz HQ.
What does an Expert RAN Planning do: Develop long-term RAN planning guidelines aligned with future network evolution.
Perform traffic forecasting, site dimensioning, carrier planning and KPI-driven optimization based on network performance indicators (e.
g., PRB utilization, throughput, accessibility etc).
Formulate spectrum strategy, layer planning and capacity offloading techniques (e.
g., Massive MIMO, carrier aggregation, sectorization).
Design and articulate low-level RAN architecture for multiple layers and new technology.
Prepare BOQ based on design solution and ensure timely ordering and implementation.
Monitor, report and benchmark of all major and minor activities in the network.
Conduct trials and evaluations of new features, technologies and solutions.
Perform network audits and drive standardization to address gaps and inconsistencies.
Take end-to-end ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring timely and quality execution.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, Technology, Commercial, Regulatory and cross-functional teams, to ensure effective planning and delivery.
Manage vendor interactions and oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with technical and commercial objectives.
Contributes to building a high-performance team culture by supporting collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Lead RAN Planning?
Bachelor’s in electrical engineering, Telecommunications or a related technical discipline.
More than 7+ years of experience in RAN planning, network design and optimization within the telecom industry.
Strong knowledge of 2G/3G/4G/LTE/5G networks, including RF planning, capacity management and performance optimization.
Understanding emerging technologies.
Proficiency in network planning tools such as Atoll, Asset, Planet or similar tools.
Experience in spectrum planning, interference analysis and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
