DESCRIPTION:
Join our team as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative software solutions. You'll work on advanced projects ranging from generative AI applications to clinical trial technology, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver results. As a member of our quality assurance team, you'll design and implement comprehensive testing strategies, develop automation frameworks, and drive continuous improvement in our software development lifecycle.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Develop software test cases for embedded devices and PCs.
  • Strictly adhere to software quality assurance processes to deliver defect-free code for production.
  • Implement test strategies, record test results, update RTVM, and communicate defects to the software development team.
  • Develop test scripts to simplify software test methodology and automate manual testing.
  • Set up test environments and ensure continuous product testing.
  • Successfully implement Agile methodologies and work comfortably within CI/CD environments.
  • Collaborate with global software team members to deliver high-quality tested software applications on schedule.
  • Work independently with minimal mentorship while maintaining strong team collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Required Skills:


  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Tech/BE) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10 to 12 years of software product testing experience.
  • Proven test script development experience using Python programming.
  • Strong expertise in software quality assurance processes and practices, including test requirements and coverage.
  • Experience with TestRail, VMs, TeamCity build server, Git, GitLab, Confluence, Squish, and Jira tools.
  • Proficiency with Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Outstanding analytical and debugging skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.
  • QA-related certifications (ISTQB, Agile/Scrum, Six Sigma) are good to have.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
