Position Summary


We are seeking a seasoned and ambitious C#, WPF Developer to develop, optimize, and maintain desktop applications while ensuring scalable solutions in an Agile Scrum environment. As part of ThermoFisher Scientific, you will contribute to developing software for scientific instruments, collaborating with global teams to improve research and development. Your role will be key in delivering a world-class user experience to customers worldwide, working in an environment that fosters innovation and excellence.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Craft and develop desktop software applications based on C# WPF and object-oriented programming (OOP) techniques.
  • Participate in code, design, and test plan reviews to ensure flawless execution.
  • Maintain post-launch product software, providing resolutions to product quality issues.
  • Update software architectures to improve product functionality.
  • Work with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Thrive in CI/CD environments to compete with industry standards.
  • Collaborate strictly with global software team members to deliver complete and high-quality software applications to schedule and specification.
  • Establish and maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all work.
  • Build, practice software reusable content, and drive continual improvement.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Required Abilities:


  • 6 to 8 years of experience in the relevant software industry.
  • Strong development skills in C# .NET WPF.
  • In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming principles and SOLID design principles.
  • Knowledge of design patterns and their application in software development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
  • Experience following a formal software development lifecycle (SDLC), including:
    • Working with requirements
    • Crafting functional and design specifications
    • Conducting code reviews
    • Engaging in process improvements
  • Experience with concurrent programming and multithreading.
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with global teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Good to Have:


  • RabbitMQ / Service Bus experience for messaging and distributed systems.
  • Basic SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases and ORM technologies
