Job description

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm PST Contract: 3 to 6 Months with a strong change to be extended to long term Location: 100% Remote Payment: Open to be negotiated depending on experience About the client This Los Angeles–based boutique music company was founded by former artists to redefine how talent is supported.
Starting with artist management, it quickly expanded into music production, distribution, and label services.
Known for launching tracks with over 100 million streams and forming strategic partnerships with major industry players, the company now supports a diverse roster of emerging and established artists.
Its mission centers on long-term, artist-first development—offering creative, marketing, and financial resources to help artists build sustainable careers.
About the role We’re looking for an experienced Ecommerce Specialist to build and launch a Shopify store for one of our talented artists.
The artist currently sells through a third-party platform, and this role will lead the transition to a standalone Shopify store to provide greater brand control, customer experience, and growth opportunities.
If you’ve built Shopify storefronts from scratch and have experience working with 3PLs like ShipBob, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do: Set up and launch a fully functional Shopify store tailored to the artist’s brand and product catalog (merch, prints, etc.
). Build out backend logistics and integrations, including payment gateways, shipping settings, tax setup, and customer flows.
Collaborate on visual and UX design, either implementing directly or coordinating with a designer as needed.
Set up and test apps and automations (email, reviews, upsells, etc.
) to optimize customer experience.
Integrate with ShipBob (or assist in onboarding with them) to streamline order fulfillment and inventory management.
Transition current customers and products from the third-party platform to the new Shopify store seamlessly.
Provide documentation and basic training for the artist’s team on how to use and manage the store.
Requirements: Proven experience building Shopify stores from the ground up.
Familiarity with Shopify themes, apps, and customizations.
Experience working with 3PLs — especially ShipBob (highly preferred).
Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices (checkout optimization, product organization, SEO basics, etc.
). Ability to manage a project independently with minimal oversight.
Bonus: Basic graphic or web design skills to enhance store visuals.
