"This role is part of the Accenture Research Global Data Science team with a focus on UI Development. The candidate will be responsible for Designing, developing and managing UI layers and visual experience components for research dashboards, BI solutions, and digital insight platforms. Designing and developing visual interfaces for research and insight products, with familiarity in platforms such as Power BI considered a plus. Planning and optimizing interaction flows, and visual storytelling to support research projects, in close collaboration with the Data Science team. More specifically, key responsibilities include: Analyzing user needs, research workflows, and insight consumption patterns to shape effective UI solutions. Designing user journeys, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI designs that translate complex datasets into intuitive and engaging visual narratives. Creating and co-creating high-quality visualizations and interfaces, using modern UI and visual design best practices (e.g., responsive design, GenAI-assisted visuals). Collaborating with Data Scientists to ensure visual accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data-driven insights. Working with external data vendors and internal Data Strategists to understand data structure, assumptions, and context, and reflect them appropriately in design. Contributing to design standards, UI guidelines, and reusable visual components across research assets. Your skills “Hard” skills: Strong experience in UI development for data-driven or insight-led products. Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (React.js, D3.js), HTML, and CSS for custom or interactive visual experiences. Ability to create custom visual assets and design systems, beyond standard templates. Ability to quickly grasp complex and unfamiliar subjects and articulate them visually for senior executive audiences Experience designing and developing interactive dashboards, research platforms, and digital insight experiences. Solid understanding of interaction design, information architecture, usability testing, and accessibility principles. General awareness of UI best practices, design systems, and emerging trends in digital experience and visualization Good to have: o Experience in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent. o Experience working with Power BI for dashboard design and data storytelling. o Knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps in the context of experience-led solutions. “Soft” skills: Intellectual curiosity. Strong user-centric and data-driven mindset. Interest in exploring emerging design approaches, interactive storytelling, and AI-assisted design tools. Strong people developer-experience in supervising and coaching designers, economists, or data scientists. Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving problem statements. Clear client focus, decisiveness, integrity, and resilience under tight timelines. Excellent interpersonal skills in one-to-one and team settings. Enthusiasm to work independently, collaboratively, and virtually in a global, multi-cultural, multi-time-zone team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions, user insights, and trade-offs to diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership. Additional Information Qualifications: Master’s degree in design, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Business, or similar. Work Experience: 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in UI development, visual experience design, or insight-driven digital products (experience with BI tools is a plus)"
