General Summary:

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cloud Security Engineer with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in cloud security. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and deep working knowledge of the Wiz Cloud Security Platform.

You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and remediating cloud security risks while working closely with cloud and application teams. The role requires a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as a team player.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer Wiz for cloud security posture management and risk visibility
• Monitor, investigate, and remediate cloud security findings and vulnerabilities
• Identify misconfigurations, excessive permissions, exposed assets, and compliance gaps across cloud environments
• Perform cloud security assessments and risk analysis
• Work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to implement security best practices
• Develop and maintain cloud security policies, standards, and procedures
• Review IAM configurations and recommend least-privilege access controls
• Support security incident investigations related to cloud environments
• Track remediation efforts and ensure timely closure of security findings
• Generate security reports, dashboards, and metrics for stakeholders
• Assist with compliance initiatives and security audits

Required Skills

• 2–4 years of experience in Cloud Security, Cybersecurity, or Cloud Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with the Wiz Cloud Security Platform
• Good knowledge of at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Cloud Workload Protection (CWPP)
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Container and Kubernetes Security
• Network Security concepts
• Vulnerability Management
• Excellent scripting knowledge (Python preferred; PowerShell/Bash are a plus)
• Experience investigating and remediating cloud security finding
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team player in cross-functional environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating Wiz with ticketing systems and SIEM platforms
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates)
• Exposure to DevSecOps practices
• Basic understanding or exposure to AI/ML concepts in security (e.g., AI-driven threat detection, anomaly detection, or GenAI security risks) is a plus
• Hands-on experience identifying or analyzing security findings using AI/ML tools or AI-assisted security platforms is strongly preferred and considered a significant advantage
• Relevant cloud or security certifications are a plus

Success Criteria

• Ability to independently analyze and prioritize cloud security risks
• Strong understanding of Wiz findings and remediation workflows
• Effective collaboration with cloud and application teams
• Proactive approach to improving overall cloud security posture

Nice-to-Have Certifications

• Wiz Certified Practitioner
• AWS Security Specialty
• Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
OR
High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of cybersecurity-relevant work experience.
