Job Description

The Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s credit policies, managing customer credit risk, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and maintaining healthy cash flow while minimizing bad debts.


  • Develop, implement, and monitor credit control policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers and approve or reject credit applications.
  • Set and manage credit limits in line with company policies.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and initiate recovery actions.
  • Coordinate with sales and operations teams regarding customer credit status.
  • Prepare regular reports on receivables, bad debts, and credit risk exposure.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Liaise with external agencies, legal advisors, or collection agencies when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA,) is an advantage
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in credit control or finance, preferably in hospitality or service industry
