The Coordinator MRCP PACES (Clinical & Academic) will play a key role in the academic and clinical preparation for the MRCP PACES examination at AKU. The position will support faculty in case/scenario development, manage the patient bank, and ensure clinical authenticity and quality of examination stations in alignment with the Federation of the Royal Colleges for Physicians of the UK.

Aga Khan University is inviting applications for the position of Coordinator, MRCP PACES


Responsibilities:


Specifically, you will be responsible to:


  • Identify, recruit, and maintain a diverse and appropriate patient pool for PACES examinations.
  • Coordinate scheduling, consent, and readiness of patients for examination days.
  • Ensure ethical standards, patient safety, and confidentiality are strictly maintained.
  • Work closely with exam faculty to develop and refine clinical cases and examination scenarios.
  • Ensure alignment of cases with MRCP PACES competencies and examination standards.
  • Assist in standardization of cases across stations for consistency and fairness.
  • Support setup of clinical stations with appropriate case materials and patient briefing.
  • Ensure clinical accuracy and readiness of all examination stations.
  • Assist examiners and faculty during exam days with clinical coordination.
  • Ensure all cases and processes adhere to MRCP PACES guidelines and ethical standards.
  • Support quality checks, calibration sessions, and post-exam reviews.
  • Maintain updated records of patient bank, cases, and examination materials.
  • Assist in preparing academic reports and post-examination summaries.

Requirements:


  • a minimum of bachelor’s in health sciences (MBBS)
  • minimum of 2 years’ experience in professional role in similar capacity is preferred. Experience in medical education, OSCEs, or clinical assessments will be an advantage. Fresh Graduates may also apply
  • strong clinical knowledge and understanding of bedside examinations
  • ability to translate clinical knowledge into structured assessment scenarios
  • excellent coordination and interpersonal skills, especially with patients and faculty
  • high level of professionalism, ethics, and attention to detail
  • experience working with international collaborators or accreditation bodies
  • ability to work under pressure during high-stakes examinations
  • strong organizational and project management skills.
