Job Purpose (Job Summary):
We're seeking top talent passionate and provide technical expertise in the maintenance and support of the company’s Information security department. Identify and resolve issues, improve system security and search for security improvement opportunities.  Additionally, maintain and follow all relevant procedures and documentation, reviewing and updating where required.


Your Team


Our Information Security department protects Invesco’s information assets from internal and external threats. The team safeguards data from unauthorized access and maintains confidentiality, integrity, and availability. We also design and maintain security policies, deliver security awareness training, and support regulatory compliance and business continuity.


Your Role:


As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will contribute to designing and supporting cloud security solutions aligned to Invesco’s Global Security strategy. You will work with teams across the organization to support secure cloud deployments, implement security controls, and help enforce technical security requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring Invesco’s cloud and hybrid environments remain secure.


You Will Be Responsible For:


  • Assisting in configuration of cloud and onpremises technologies based on industry security best practices.


  • Supporting cloud projects and providing handson help implementing cloud security controls and tooling.


  • Helping define and implement technical requirements related to data protection, encryption, and secure communication between components.


  • Supporting patching, upgrades, and routine improvements to security tools and environments.


  • Monitoring and basic troubleshooting of security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, QRadar, Qualys, DLP).


  • Helping identify issues in production environments and escalating when needed.


  • Providing professional and timely support for securityrelated inquiries.


  • Participating in evaluation and implementation of security solutions aligned with business needs.


  • Supporting the creation and maintenance of documentation to aid incident response and support processes.


  • Assisting with improvements to automation solutions and operational workflows.


  • Staying current on the latest cloud and security technologies and enhancing your technical skillset through continuous learning.

Work Experience / Knowledge:


  • 1–2+ years of experience or internship exposure in IT security or cloud engineering.


  • Foundational understanding of cloud security concepts (IAM, security groups, encryption, key management).


  • Experience supporting or deploying solutions in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.


  • Basic understanding of SIEM, threat detection, cloud workload protection, and data protection concepts.


  • Knowledge of common internet protocols, TCP/IP, JSON, and application security basics.


  • Ability to perform configuration scans and interpret findings.


  • Understanding of identity technologies such as Cloud IAM, Active Directory, SSO, and authentication concepts.


  • Awareness of compliance frameworks (PCIDSS, HIPAA, NIST, ISO, SOC1/2, ITIL).
