We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Performance Management



In this role, you will:



  • Assist in tracking and analysing the Functional Resource Plan (FRP) and workforce plan.
  • Supporting the preparation of the R&C FRP and ensuring the regions / sub-functions deliver successfully against their FRP.
  • Lead monthly review of financials including working with relevant regions/sub-functions to obtain further understanding of costs and annual budgets with appropriate rigor and challenge.
  • Lead run-rate analysis, forecasting and annual plan process, and provide variance view and insightful commentary where appropriate.
  • Supporting deployment and management of cost management tooling including strengthening the hiring, budget, financial management & reporting capabilities within the sub-functions.
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure an effective and efficient approach to business and financial management across R&C (Risk & Compliance)
  • Appropriate governance, relevant guidance and continued oversight for Risk & Compliance Third party requirements
  • End to end management of third-party engagements, including reviewing Statement of Works, follow through the approval process and provide required documentation as necessary.
  • Third party cost management including supporting the procurement/onboarding/exit and reporting on utilization against plan
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, including R&C leadership, Finance, and HR.
  • Support the VP – Performance Manager in managing team priorities, goals, and objectives.

To be successful you will:



  • Significant experience in financial and business planning, ideally within an international banking environment
  • Strong understanding of external banking environment – regulatory, political and competitive
  • Good understanding of financial processes, reporting, and cost management.
  • Knowledge of best practices in data governance and tools-based data quality improvement.
  • A graduate degree in Commerce, Finance and Accounting, Business management or equivalent
  • Demonstrated success in budgetary management, resource management, financial planning, and executive reporting.
  • Experience managing customer and stakeholder issues in a matrix organisational context.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with MI tools is a plus.
