Application Development Lead Analyst

Position Overview

The job profile for this position is looking for an exceptional FullStack engineer, to drive our software development efforts in creating high-quality technology solutions. The Full Stack Engineer is responsible for the delivery of a business need starting from understanding the requirements to deploying the software into production. This role requires you to be fluent in some of the critical technologies with proficiency in others and have a hunger to learn on the job and add value to the business. Critical attributes of being a Full Stack Engineer, among others, are ownership, eagerness to learn & an open mindset. In addition to Delivery, the Full Stack Engineer should have an automation first and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, test, and deploy technology solutions to meet business needs.
• Write clean code to support project delivery – on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with other team members at the scrum team and Agile Release Train levels to deliver features and user stories.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the origin and reasoning behind requirements and identify key capabilities to ensure successful product delivery.
• Continuously develop knowledge of emerging technologies and support the pursuit of business development opportunities.
• Understand established architectural decisions, CIGNA technical standards, governance processes, and defined software delivery methodologies.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• 5 – 8 years of experience in application program development; technologies including Oracle, MangoDB, AWS Postgres, Databricks and Python.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, organized and detail oriented.
• Self-directed and work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with Agile software development methodology and understands SAFe Agile framework and principles.
• Experience in Healthcare industry and Pharmacy systems is preferred
• Experience of using Enterprise Jira.

Desired Experience & Skills:

• Experience working with techniques and strategies for how to validate, clean, and transform large amounts of data in transit
• Experience working with Oracle PL/SQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience working with the Python programming language preferred
• Experience with data modeling and database design principles
• Experience with query optimization and performance tuning
• Experience with database concepts such as packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Dynamic SQL, External tables, Exception handling, Triggers, Cursors, Ref Cursors.
• Experience driving database design for projects
• Experience with version control systems, GIT desired
• Experience with agile methodologies
• Knowledge of informatica or any other ETL
• Experience with AWS and knowledge of AWS Glue a plus
• Ability to work in a complex environment with various positions such as tech leads, release management, and security teams
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Location & Hours of Work

• Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate.
• Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WAH)
