ApplicationDeveloper Advisor
Technical developer partnering with the COE's Pega Architect to support application teams across the enterprise while contributing as a full-stack developer across all COE applications. This role requires deep Pega development skills combined with strong general software engineering capabilities — someone who can troubleshoot complex Pega architecture issues AND build modern web applications. AI-assisted development is core to how this team operates — you will use AI tools daily and contribute to AI-powered automation initiatives.

Responsibilities:




Partner with the COE Pega Architect to support application teams with architecture guidance, code reviews, and technical problem-solving
Diagnose and resolve complex Pega issues (data models, flow actions, activities, integrations, UI/UX, decisioning)
Coordinate with Pega vendor experts when issues exceed internal team expertise
Develop and maintain features across all COE applications:
oFLAC — license forecasting and cost management platform (FastAPI+ React + PostgreSQL)
oRAG Platform — enterprise AI knowledge system (FastAPI+ React +LangChain+ Azure AI Search)
oPega Deployment Manager — automated deployment workflows (Python + GitHub integration)
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, leveraging Pega native APIs for automated builds, deployments, and environment management
Develop reusable Pega patterns and best practices for application teams
Practice spec-driven development — write detailed specifications and requirements documents before coding, using them to drive AI-assisted code generation and ensure quality outcomes
Use AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code) daily across all projects
Contribute to AI integration efforts — help identify manual processes that can be automated with AI and build those automations

Qualifications:




Education:


Anybachelor’sdegree

Experience:


Totalof11-13years of experience.
At least8+ years of Pega development experience (CLSA certification preferred)

Skills:


Deep understanding of Pega architecture: class hierarchy, data model, UI (Constellation or traditional), integration services (REST/SOAP), decisioning
Strong software development skills: Python and JavaScript
Experience with web frameworks (FastAPI, React, or equivalent)
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server)
Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and Pega native APIs (deployment, build, export/import)
Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows
Experience with AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) — daily use expected
Familiarity with AI/LLM concepts (prompt engineering, structured outputs, prompt management, or building with AI APIs)
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills — you'll be the go-to person for application teams
