Eram Talent is looking for a highly experienced Lead Process Design Engineer to join our dynamic team within the oil and gas industry.
In this pivotal role, you will lead project teams in the design and development of process engineering solutions, ensuring that all processes are optimized for efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Your expertise will be critical in guiding junior engineers and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
Responsibilities Technical Leadership and Design Management Assume overall responsibility for all process design activities related to the GOSP facility.
Lead and manage the process design team, assign tasks, review work, and ensure the quality and schedule of all process design deliverables.
Spearhead the development and standardization of the project's process design basis, design guidelines, and technical specifications.
Be responsible for finalizing key process schemes and selecting the technical execution strategy, such as separation sequence, compression philosophy, and treatment processes.
Organize and review core process simulation calculations, including: Process calculations and preliminary sizing for major equipment (e.
g., Oil-Gas Separators, Columns, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Compressors).
Pipeline Hydraulic Calculations and Pressure Relief/Blowdown System Calculations.
Organize the preparation, review, and approval of all key process design documents, primarily including: * Process Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) * Process Design Basis * Equipment Data Sheets and Technical Specifications * Hazardous Area Classification Drawings * Pressure Relief and Blowdown System Design Report * Process Description and Operating Manuals Act as the primary process discipline interface for communication and coordination with the Client, the Project Management Team, other engineering disciplines (Piping, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Civil/Structural), and equipment vendors.
Ensure all process designs strictly adhere to Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards, Design Practices, and relevant regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Organize and lead process-related model reviews to ensure layout optimization for operability and maintainability.
Represent the process discipline in and lead project technical meetings.
Provide high-level process technical support to the site team during the Construction, Pre-commissioning, and Commissioning phases.
Review and respond to Technical Queries raised by the site team.
Participate in resolving site issues related to process design and review design changes.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, or a related field.
Possess or be eligible to obtain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) certification.
Hold a valid Saudi Aramco certification/work permit.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in process design within the oil and gas industry.
At least 2-3 complete projects experience serving as a Process Lead/Principal Process Engineer, leading the EPC phase design for major upstream oil & gas facilities (especially GOSP, oil & gas processing stations, central processing facilities, etc.
). Extensive project experience working with Saudi Aramco or similar major international oil & gas companies, with a deep understanding and mastery of Aramco standards.
Proficient in using industry-standard process simulation software (e.
g., HYSYS, PipeSIM) and capable of guiding the team in simulation work.
In-depth understanding of upstream treatment processes such as oil-gas separation, dehydration, desalination, and compression.
Familiar with international standards and Saudi Aramco standards.
Capable of independently reviewing critical process calculations and equipment data sheets.
Ability to motivate and lead technical teams, making sound decisions under pressure.
Capable of clear and effective technical communication with clients, management, and cross-cultural teams.
Ability to quickly analyze complex technical problems and propose practical solutions.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of basic Arabic is a plus.
Strong project management and time management skills to ensure design tasks are completed on schedule.
