Role Summary:

The HVAC Inspector is responsible for inspection, monitoring, and verification of HVAC systems installation, testing, and commissioning activities on offshore facilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect HVAC installation activities including ducting, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust systems, pressurization units, and control systems
  • Verify materials, equipment, and installation as per approved drawings, specifications, and ITPs
  • Ensure compliance with international codes and standards 
  • Review and witness testing & commissioningactivities such as:
    • Air balancing
    • Functional performance testing
    • Duct leakage testing
    • Noise and vibration checks
  • Conduct inspection of fire and gas damper systems, smoke control, HVAC shutdowns, and emergency ventilation
  • Monitor HVAC system integration with Fire & Gas (F&G), BMS, and ESD systems
  • Prepare and review inspection reports, NCRs, punch lists, and close-out documentation
  • Coordinate with construction, commissioning, QA/QC, and client teams
  • Participate in HAZID/HAZOP, walkdowns, and system handover
  • Verify compliance with offshore safety rules and work permit systems
  • Support FAT/SAT and vendor inspections when required
