Job description

The Electrical Inspector is responsible for inspecting and monitoring electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements. Conducts site inspections of power distribution, lighting, low-current systems, and related electrical infrastructure, verifies installation quality, identifies non-conformances, and coordinates with contractors and consultants to ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect installation of LV/MV electrical systems, conduits, panels, and terminations.


  • Ensure compliance with approved electrical drawings and specifications.


  • Verify IRs are aligned with work completion and readiness for inspection.


  • Monitor correct installation of cable trays, earthing systems, and devices.


  • Ensure fire alarm, data, lighting control, and power systems meet quality standards.


  • Witness testing and commissioning activities including insulation resistance, continuity, and grounding.


  • Raise NCRs and track rectification measures related to electrical works.


  • Coordinate closely with mechanical and architectural inspectors on shared spaces and false ceiling areas.


  • Ensure adherence to local electrical codes (e.g., IEC, NEC) and safety regulations.


  • Document and report inspection findings and contractor performance. 


  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.



Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of inspection experience in complex projects (theme parks, hospitals, or airports preferred).
  • Familiarity with ride systems, show lighting, and life safety electrical systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of testing protocols and international electrical standards.
