About Company:
The client is one of the largest integrated sugar manufacturers in India and a market leader in our engineering businesses, spanning power transmission, water & wastewater treatment solutions, and defence.
An Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be involved in vendor development for the range of defence product portfolio and new product development initiatives for the defence business, should also have strong technical expertise, good understanding of design specifications for mechanical and electrical equipment, understanding of industry & defence standards & requirements for defence applications besides a good overview of the defence industry ecosystem in the country.
Key Competencies:
1.Supplier Selection & Assessment: Research, identify, and audit new vendors to evaluate their technical capabilities, quality systems, and capacity for the product portfolio of the company.
2.New Product Development (NPD): Collaborate with Design, R&D and suppliers on new part development, acting as the technical liaison between the design and industry.
3.15 years + experience in vendor development preferably for defence industry.
4.Knowledge of mechanical & electrical equipment (including controls & instrumentation), materials selection, castings, machining, fabrication processes, production processes etc.
5.Familiarity with industry standards, military standards and marine classification societies.
