Profile - Asset & Reliability Engineer 


Asset & Reliability Engineer to enhance the long-term reliability, performance, and lifecycle efficiency of plant assets. The role focuses on applying reliability engineering principles, data analysis, and continuous improvement practices to improve equipment availability, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance costs.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct/Facilitate Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) workshop
  • Develop equipment criticality rankings
  • Monitor asset performance and identify reliability gaps
  • Lead initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce recurring failures
  • Conduct RCA (5-Why, Fishbone, etc.) for equipment failures
  • Implement corrective actions to eliminate repeat breakdowns
  • Optimize PM and PdM strategies based on equipment performance and failure history
  • Support condition monitoring and predictive maintenance implementation
  • Support repair, refurbish, or replacement decisions
  • Analyze downtime, failure trends, MTBF, and MTTR
  • Provide insights to improve equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness
  • Lead initiatives to reduce downtime and maintenance costs
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve asset performance
  • Prepare and present reliability KPIs, performance trends, and improvement actions
  • Perform Safety critical analysis
  • Understanding of Instrumented protective function & SIL class
  • Recommend RBI schedules
  • Support ERP/CMMS and reliability dashboard implementation
  • ISO 14224 hierarchy structing
  • Read PEFS and other Engineering Deliverables & Extract tags and associated information.
  • Prepare Function location, Task List & Long Text (Maintenance craft procedure)
  • Prepare SPIR
  • Promote use of IoT and condition monitoring tools
  • Prepare Engineering Data Warehouse Templates (Tag Register, Tag to Document etc.)

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE); CMRP or equivalent Asset Management certification is a must
  • 10 years of experience in maintenance, reliability engineering, or asset management in industrial environments (OIL & GAS) is preferred
  • Reliability engineering & maintenance strategy development
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA, 5-Why, Fishbone)
  • Data analysis and reporting (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools)
  • Skilled in ERP/CMMS systems (SAP PM, MAXIMO)
  • Risk based Inspection principles
  • Conversant with ISO14224 standard
  • Knowledge of delivering Engineering Data Warehouse.
