Department Focus: The Product Department at Deliverect is at the forefront of the digital ordering revolution, dedicated to consistently delivering groundbreaking solutions to the global marketplace. Our team of passionate and innovative engineers, designers, and product managers architect tools that empower businesses to thrive in the evolving digital landscape, streamlining digital ordering for delivery and on-premise services. We are committed to creating user-friendly, dependable, and scalable technology that simplifies operations and enhances customer experiences, playing an integral role in the success of businesses worldwide. In our department, innovation is not just a concept; it's the driving force behind everything we do.
Your Impact:
As a Product Ops & Engineering Intern at Deliverect, you will design and build an AI-augmented internal platform that automates the operational backbone of our Product team—capturing decisions, syncing Productboard and Jira, generating documentation, orchestrating cross-team launch communications, and deploying AI agents that act inside Productboard on behalf of PMs. We are looking for ambitious MBO or HBO students, available for at least 3 months, who are ready to hit the ground running, apply their technical skills to real-world challenges, and gain hands-on experience in an AI-native development culture. This internship requires you to be present at our Amersfoort office a minimum of 4 days per week to support learning through close collaboration.
This internship requires you to be present at our Amersfoort office a minimum of 4 days per week. We believe in learning through close collaboration, and in-person presence is an essential part of the internship experience.
What you will do:
Own the technical implementation of ProdOps Hub end-to-end: design, build, deploy, and iterate.
Integrate with Productboard, Jira, Confluence, and Slack via their APIs and webhooks.
Design and ship LLM-powered features, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and evals.
Build AI agents with tool-use that take actions in Productboard, gated behind human approval flows and full audit logging.
Work directly with PMs as design partners by shadowing them, prototyping with them, and shipping features to them.
Document code, architecture, and runbooks thoroughly.
Demo progress weekly to Product Ops and biweekly to product leadership.
What you will bring:
Current enrollment in an MBO or HBO programme in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
Availability for a minimum of 3 months for an internship or stage placement.
An ambitious, curious mindset with an eagerness to learn, thrive in fast-paced environments, and absorb new information quickly.
Working knowledge of Python or Node.js/TypeScript, plus REST APIs and webhooks.
Comfort with at least one cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure) and basic CI/CD.
Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)—prompt design, function calling/tool-use, and structured outputs.
Experience with Git, code review hygiene, and an ability to write clear technical documentation.
A pragmatic mindset that prioritizes shipping a functional prototype.
Fluency in English, which is our internal working language across all teams, communication, and documentation.
