Engineering Lead
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Blueprint Engineering Lead to coordinate and deliver the engineering scope for large-scale industrial projects based on a standardized blueprint concept. In this role, you will ensure that engineering activities are executed efficiently, comply with applicable standards and regulations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of reusable engineering designs across multiple project locations.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, technology specialists, external engineering contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to maintain technical excellence and project success.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of engineering work for assigned projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, quality requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate activities between discipline engineers and external engineering contractors.
  • Monitor engineering quality, schedules, budgets, and project procedures.
  • Provide regular progress updates and engineering status reports to project stakeholders.
  • Safeguard the technical integrity of assigned blueprint designs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Capture and integrate lessons learned into future blueprint developments.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical guidance and support.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions when required.
  • Assess technical risks and support engineering decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
ProfileEducation
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree candidates with substantial relevant industry experience will also be considered.
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar engineering role within industrial, process, chemical, petrochemical, energy, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working with engineering contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design and visualization software such as Plant 3D, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MATLAB, Aspen Plus, HTRI, or equivalent tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Familiarity with industrial engineering standards, regulations, best practices, and quality requirements.
  • Ability to understand complex technical projects, assess risks, and provide sound engineering recommendations.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of project management principles, including scope management, change management, planning, and reporting.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Leadership potential and willingness to further develop project management and leadership skills through training and development.
  • Flexible and willing to travel to project sites, production facilities, and engineering contractor offices when required.
