Position: Onshore Quality & Performance Coordinator
Location: Afungi, Mozambique

Activities
• Coordinate the quality interfaces between the Onshore EPC scope and the adjacent cross-discipline scopes — Site Infrastructure, Marine Facilities and Onshore facilities interfaces — ensuring coherent assurance coverage across the full Onshore perimeter.
• Define and develop the Project quality performance indicator set (KPIs, Cost of Quality metrics, maturity indicators) in coordination with the Assurance and Integration Manager, and maintain the indicator architecture through the Project lifecycle.
• Structure and manage the Project quality data architecture — ensuring integrity, accessibility, traceability and alignment with downstream reporting needs.
• Improve stakeholder KPI reporting flows to Home Office, ensuring clarity, relevance and alignment with reporting standards.
• Support the Assurance and Integration Manager in identifying and implementing integration opportunities where quality assurance flows can be streamlined across packages and disciplines.
• Deploy the Project Quality Culture programme, in line with CONTRACTOR philosophy, across all Onshore packages and locations.
• Develop and maintain the Project training matrix for the quality function, ensuring competency coverage matches Project criti cality.
• Drive team engagement initiatives to build an integrated quality team with a unified Project mindset across all packages and locations (Home Office, Site, Vendor locations).
• Deploy Lean / Kaizen / iObeya practices in line with CONTRACTOR philosophy, facilitating visual management, continuous improvement workshops and waste elimination.
• Support competency development of the quality team through structured training plans, mentoring and qualification tracking.
• Operate the Project KPI dashboards; monitor performance trends and escalate deviations to the Assurance and Integration Manag er.
• Track Cost of Quality across the Project — rework, nonconformity costs, audit findings — and report trends to management.
• Manage the Q-Obs (Quality Observations) programme, consolidating field observations into actionable insights and continuous improvement inputs.
• Conduct trend analysis on nonconformities, derogations, deviations and audit findings; feed outputs into the Assurance and Integration Manager’s reporting line and into the Lessons Learned process.
• Chair the Lessons Learned committee; maintain the Project Lessons Learned register, ensure structured capture, prioritization and reuse of lessons across Project packages.
• Govern the Project digital tools supporting quality and performance — including the Change Management system and the Construction Management System — with a view to downstream commissioning integration.
• Act as Project Feedback Representative owning the feedback loop on quality performance, lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
Accountabilities
• Coordination with other departments for the safe and on‐time execution of the work, to deliver a fit‐for‐purpose facility.
• Ensure Quality Assurance Processes and activities defined above are applied through Engineering, Procurement and along the full chain of Fabrication/ Construction at Site and are properly recorded and are delivered as a cohesive assurance package in support of the Assurance and Integration Manager’s accountabilities.
• Own the upstream Cross-Discipline Integration, Quality Data & KPI Architecture workstream (Axis 3 of the Project Assurance Strategic Roadmap), including quality performance indicator development, quality data management and Home Office KPI reporting improvement.
• Own the People, Capability & Quality Culture Development workstream (Axis 4), including Quality Culture programme deployment, training matrix, competency development and Lean / Kaizen / iObeya deployment in line with philosophy.
• Own the Project Performance Monitoring, Lessons Learnt & Continuous Improvement workstream (Axis 5), including KPI dashboards , Cost of Quality tracking, Q-Obs, trend analysis, Lessons Learned register and committee chair management, digital tools governance (Change Management & Construction Management System) and feedback.
• Deputize for the Onshore Assurance and Integration Manager on defined Quality & Performance matters whenever necessary.
• Act as Project Feedback Representative on quality performance and lessons learned matters.
Qualifications/Experience required
• Degree in Engineering or another relevant subject required with either an advanced degree or professional qualifications preferred.
• 20 years’ experience, 20 years in the field of project management, quality assurance and performance management, lean manufacturing management, compliance, coordination, quality control and quality assurance.
