About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and solution-oriented Troubleshooter to support our service operations in Rabat. This role is critical in resolving complex technical issues, improving equipment reliability, and enhancing the overall performance of maintenance operations. You will play a key role in ensuring safety, reducing call-outs, and supporting the development of technical competencies within the team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Ensure safe working practices and perform all activities in accordance with KONE safety and maintenance standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues on serviced equipment.
  • Conduct first-time inspections of newly contracted equipment.
  • Identify and proactively resolve technical issues that may lead to breakdowns or safety risks, while generating repair and modernization sales leads where applicable.
  • Analyse recurring faults and provide recommendations to reduce call-outs and improve equipment reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues related to remote monitoring and alarm systems.
  • Identify technical competence gaps related to new equipment and communicate training needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Provide structured feedback to support the continuous improvement of products, methods, and safety practices.
  • Plan and manage workload effectively to ensure timely response and resolution.
  • Deliver high-quality service that ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain professional and proactive communication with customers and site stakeholders.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships by demonstrating a customer-centric service mindset.
  • Support the development of Maintenance Technicians by explaining root causes and solutions to technical issues.
  • Share knowledge related to Field Letters, Express Letters, and updated maintenance methodologies.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and technical training to enhance team capability and performance.

Requirements


  • Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical certification).
  • Mandatory experience in the Elevator & Escalator (E&E) industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in elevator and escalator maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across a range of equipment (KONE and non-KONE).
  • Solid understanding of maintenance operations, safety standards, and service processes.
  • Experience with remote monitoring and diagnostic systems is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
  • Self-driven, organized, and able to manage workload independently.
  • Team player with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
