Hexcel is currently seeking a Purchasing & Procurement Engineer for our Casablanca, Morocco location.


The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:


  • Manage the purchasing of all direct materials (BOM / production related) and indirect materials (MRO, services, consumables).
  • Ensuring accuracy of purchase requests and purchase orders in the ERP system, and applying Hexcel procurement guidelines with proper segregation of duties between Purchasing and Warehouse/Receiving.
  • Execute raw material procurement in coordination with planners to meet production needs, ensuring appropriate lead times, safety stocks, and continuity of supply.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report Supplier On Time In Full (SOTIF) performance, and conduct root cause analyses for deviations and implement corrective actions with suppliers.
  • Support supplier audits, evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and commercial conditions with suppliers in alignment with corporate sourcing policies.
  • Draft, renew, and maintain supplier contracts in coordination with Corporate Sourcing, Finance, and Legal as needed, while ensuring supplier compliance with corporate and quality requirements.
  • Support cost avoidance and continuous improvement initiatives at the plant level & prepare monthly and quarterly reports on spending, savings, and procurement KPIs.
  • Act as the main contact between the plant and Corporate Sourcing for strategy alignment, reporting, and supplier category management.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Finance, Planning, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure smooth and compliant purchasing operations.

Qualifications:


  • Engineering degree on Supply Chain, Procurement
  • 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, competitive bidding, and RFQ/RFP management.
  • Good understanding of ERP systems and purchasing workflows.
  • Ability to analyze data, build cost models, and monitor supplier performance.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of integrity with strict respect for compliance requirements and segregation of duties rules.
