Job :

We are looking for an experienced and meticulous Laboratory Technician to join our Nursing and Hospital Hygiene Department at HUIR. They will be responsible for performing urgent or routine medical tests under the supervision of a biologist. They will participate in communication with care departments, external laboratory clients, and service providers.
Your main responsibilities will be:



1- Pre-analytical stage
- Active participation in the quality policy established for the laboratory.
- Checking the compliance of test requests (prescription and samples).
- Recording test requests (during the absence of administrative staff)
- Pre-analytical processing of samples.
- Transporting samples to the relevant workstation.



2- Peri-analytical stage
- Active participation in the quality policy established for the laboratory.
- Ensuring the setup and proper functioning of medical biology automated systems.
- Performing biological tests
- Using, validating, and interpreting internal and external quality controls.
- Analytical verification.
- Participation in the implementation of new analytical techniques. Ensuring handovers during shift changes.



3- Post-analytical stage:
- Active participation in the quality policy established for the LBM (Medical Biology Laboratory).
- Validation and communication of results to the prescriber according to procedures defined by the responsible biologist



4- Participation in the LBM quality system:
- Daily use of the quality software.
- Participation in the laboratory's quality process. Knowing non-conformities and how to track them.
- Drafting quality documents concerning their sector.



5- Miscellaneous:
- Stock management (stock removal, ordering for reference materials) and regular inventory checks on occupied benches.
- Continuous training (internal or external) to maintain an adequate skill level for performing duties.
- Maintenance of equipment and automated systems in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and laboratory organization.
- Participation in product testing during calls for tenders (technical, ergonomics, cost analysis, etc.).
- Training of personnel in techniques and procedures of their sector
- Use of the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Responsibility for ensuring hygiene rules are followed in their area of activity
- Knowledge of the various IT systems relevant to their role and the rules related to their use.
- Participation, if necessary, in working groups related to their activity. Participation in on-call duties.
- Knowledge and adherence to fire safety instructions. 





Required profile :
  • Bachelor's degree (Bac+3): Specialized Technician Diploma in Biological Analyses and Biotechnologies
  • 3 years or more of experience
  • Proficiency in bench work (Hematology, Biochemistry/Immunology, and Microbiology) and the laboratory information system (LIS)
