Job :

Reporting to the Directorate of National Stud Farms, your mission will be to take charge of all aspects of the daily life of the horses at the stud farm/Reproduction Center, thus contributing to their optimal well-being and performance.



As such, your main activities will be:
Feeding and Nutrition
- Distribute feed according to the rationing established by the Reproduction and Breeding Manager for each horse
- Ensure precise dosage of rations
- Water the horses when necessary in the absence of automatic waterers
Body Care
- Perform daily grooming of the horses in your care
- Perform hoof care according to the schedule and procedures established by the Reproduction and Breeding Manager
Monitoring and Health
- Constantly monitor the general condition of the horses
- React by quickly informing the stable manager or the head of the equine reproduction center or the reproduction and breeding manager, in case of injury or signs of a health problem
- Identify and report any unusual behavior
Veterinary Assistance
- Collaborate closely with the veterinarian during foaling (Mares' Stud)
Training and Activity
- Work the horses in hand, ridden or at liberty according to the schedule established by the stable manager/Head of Reproduction/Reproduction and Breeding Manager
Infrastructure Maintenance
- Regularly clean the stables
- Renew the bedding for the comfort of the equines
- Maintain feeders and waterers by cleaning them
- Ensure the general cleanliness of the stables
- Ensure the maintenance of the tack according to the schedule established by the stable manager/Head of Equine Reproduction Center/Manager of Reproduction and Breeding




Required profile :

As a potential candidate:
- You have a qualification in animal production or equivalent, with desired experience in an equine environment.
- You have knowledge of reproduction, care, feeding, and genetics
