Job Purpose / Summary
The position of Sales Broker is a central role to the development of the company, relating to the generation of new leads for representing central agency yachts for sale, as well as
developing business opportunities for other services across the company, and the conversion of leads into successful sales transactions.
Main job tasks and responsibilities
Generate sales as per targets set; focus on conversion of enquiries to actual business; develop/maintain a network of clients in order to grow sales business; maintain communication with central agents and develop relationships with them; prepare accurate and well-presented selection of available yachts to clients; provide advice on the market, yacht purchase and sales; provide immediate/effective response to any issue arising during the sales process; provide excellent service to all sales clients; develop internal relationships with other HR business divisions to maximise business; provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members; support the Sales and Marketing Director with special assignments and to continually increase the department's sales performance.
Key Competencies/ Attributes
Excellent knowledge of the superyacht industry; English first language with French written and verbal skills advantageous; excellent organisational and time management skills; excellent sales negotiation skills; excellent personal presentation and ability to present professionally to sales clients; experience in developing and maintaining a personal client portfolio; ability to develop strong professional relationships; in depth knowledge of the yacht sales and purchase process and contractual arrangements; knowledge of yachting industry standard business practices and ethics; knowledge of sales and purchase regulations and taxation; knowledge of operations on board superyachts; self motivated and highly organised.
Educational Background / Relevant Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ superyacht sales brokerage experience; history and pattern leading successful yacht sales transactions; sound understanding of the yacht sales process and contracts; experience conducting condition surveys and sea trials; experience working with purchaser and seller legal advisors to successfully conclude sales transactions.
