Overall Purpose



The Charter Manager will serve as an integral member of Hill Robinson Moravia  team to contribute to the growth of an expanding charter fleet, with an emphasis on building the Hill Robinson charter fleet, while providing excellent quality of service to yachts already under management. The position is based in our Antibes or Monaco office, however it will involve regular interaction with our global offices, as well as domestic and international travel.


Charter Management


  • Prepare accurate and vessel-specific proposals, recognizing the markets for charter income, as well as marketing to convert CA’s and generate bookings for exiting HR charter fleet.
  • Maintain communications with Owners and develop relationships with charter brokers and yachts.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and well-presented selection of available yachts for market comparison and client selection.
  • Provide advice on and propose cruising itineraries, including regulatory requirements like VAT, APA, cruising and charter licenses for each area.
  • Provide immediate/effective response to captains for any issue arising during charters.
  • Provide excellent service to all charter clients.
  • Develop internal relationships with other HR business divisions to maximise business potential.

  • Generate personal charter bookings as per targets set, with focus on conversion to actual business.
  • Manage and maintain new business documents including proposals and agreements.
  • Work with marketing department to implement strategies to secure new business.
  • Meet with clients and industry professionals to promote the business.

Person Skills


  • Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or other related degree preferred.
  • Maritime Training or Yacht Management skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Current Passport
  • 3+ Years Industry Specific Experience required.
  • Additional experience in similar position, working aboard a yacht as crew, and/or other industry related experience beneficial.
  • Bilingual (English/French/Spanish/Italian) beneficial but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure; flexible with good time management skills; self-motivated.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Good personal presentation and ability to present professionally to charter clients.
  • Ability for ongoing development of a wide network of prospective clients; develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.
  • In depth knowledge of yacht charter process and contractual arrangements; knowledge of yachting standard business practices and ethics.
  • Knowledge of charter regulations, including Flag stat and taxation areas.
