Software Quality Senior Engineering (Validation)

Our Software Quality Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyze the results, provide feedback to developers and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards.

What you’ll achieve
As a Software Quality Engineering, you will be responsible for validating Dell Factory Install framework/process on both commercial and consumer systems. These efforts will be carried out monthly for sustaining platforms and on demand for NPI platforms.

You will: 

• Contribute to Factory-Readiness-Complete or Ready-To-Ship by validation with sound coverage. 
• Help the development team to verify the install/test scripts.
• Help the platform team to duplicate/trouble-shoot factory issues.
• Develop, review and implement validation strategy for OS/App/Driver plus test process.
• Attend regular meetings with developers/project managers
• Draft, review and implement process documentation within FI Validation team

Essential Requirements

• Validated knowledge of programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; network, embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities,
• Ability to read/debug python/C scripts.
• Capacity to achieve proficiency of new tools, languages and operating systems with training and on-the-job experience
• Good communication skills, able to influence stakeholders across multiple teams
• 5–8 years of related experience
